Python, a Raspberry Pi, and You
May 19, 2022

Mike Riley has been tinkering with computers since the late 1970s—beginning with the Tandy TRS-80—and has been a lifelong adventurer in science and technology. He's The Pragmatic Bookshelf’s Hardware and IoT Series Expert, and he's a member of our Technical Advisory Board. And, of course, when it comes to Raspberry Pi, single-board computers, and home automation, Mike certainly knows a thing or two.

We had a chance to meet with Mike last month to discuss his latest book, Raspberry Pi, the future of home automation, and Python. Having worked with all these technologies for so long, Mike not only knew what he was talking about but he also shared unique insights and fascinating predictions for the future. It was an educational and entertaining exploration of where we've been, where we are, and where we're headed.

You can read the full interview with Mike at https://forum.devtalk.com/t/spotlight-mike-riley-author-interview-and-ama/52444. And while you're there, be sure to drop a question in the AMA. Not only will you get a personal answer back but you'll get a chance to win a free ebook copy of Portable Python Projects.

And even if AMAs aren't your thing, you can still use the promo code devtalk.com for 35% off Portable Python Projects at pragprog.com.
