April 01, 2016
The custom of "April Fool's Day" appears to be nearly universal, although the origins have perhaps already been lost to history. Did the custom arise from confusion over the definition of New Year's day, as some have suggested? Or is it just a manifestation of our ever-present cultural guilt at appearing foolish?
Well that last part we can fix. Ramp up your learning and head on over to pragprog.com to save 40% on all ebooks by using the coupon code APRILNOFOOLS2016. Offer valid through end of day Monday, April 4, UTC. Void where prohibited. Don't use ebooks near water. If rash persists, see a doctor. Doesn't apply to The Pragmatic Programmer ebook because it's older than the Pragmatic Bookshelf itself, eh, you know the drill.
Come and get 'em.
