Python Insights from Dmitry Zinoviev

The Joys and Sorrows of Python Revealed by a True Pythonista and PragProg Author, Dmitry Zinoviev

Dmitry Zinoviev is a computer science professor at Suffolk University in Boston, Massachusetts. Over the last twenty-two years, he's taught CS courses, mathematics, and even a science course. When it comes to training the next generation of software developers, Dmitry has been there and done that.

We recently sat down with Dmitry to talk about his books, his experience, and his hate-turned-love of Python. Along the way, he gave us insights into what Python does exceptionally well, where it struggles, and why people love it. He also gave us a glimpse into what a possible Python 4 might look like. In the end, we went away with a deeper understanding of—and appreciation for—Python, and we learned some tips that you can put into production today.

Read the full interview with Dmitry and take a deep dive into Python at https://forum.devtalk.com/t/spotlight-dmitry-zinoviev-author-interview-and-ama/41315. And remember, this interview is also an AMA. Ask Dmitry a question, and you'll automatically get a chance to a win a free ebook copy of either Data Science Essentials in Python, Complex Network Analysis in Python, Resourceful Code Reuse, or Pythonic Programming.
