Write, Edit, and Publish While You're Hot
January 26, 2023

Johanna Rothman, also known as the Pragmatic Manager, has been a software developer, a business management consultant, and award-wining author for decades. With 19 books and thousands of articles, blog posts, reports, and more to her name, it's fairly safe to say she knows a thing or two about writing. And in her latest book, Free Your Inner Nonfiction Writer, she shares that knowledge with the world to make it easier for anyone to be a success at writing.

We recently sat down with Johanna to discuss identifying outdated rules, targeting your ideal audience, filling your idea bank, and striking while the iron's hot. Along the way, Johanna taught us how writing prose can be a lot like developing software, and she offered up tips and insights for communicating ideas that we think any programmer will want to hear.

You can read the full interview with Johanna at https://forum.devtalk.com/t/spotlight-johanna-rothman-author-interview-and-ama/92479/2. And while you're there, be sure to drop a question in the AMA. You'll get a personal answer back, and you'll also get a chance to win a free ebook copy of Free Your Inner Nonfiction Writer.

And if AMAs aren't your thing, use the promo code devtalk.com for 35% off Free Your Inner Nonfiction Writer at pragprog.com.
